Grover disease je stanje, ki se nenadoma pojavi kot srbeče rdeče lise na trupu, pogosto pri starejših moških.

Grover disease , znana tudi kot prehodna akantolitična dermatoza, je izpuščaj, ki se pojavi kot izbokline, napolnjene s tekočino na zgornjem delu telesa, predvsem pri starejših belih moških. Pogosto srbi, vendar ne traja dolgo. Obstajajo 4 različni vzorci sprememb tkiva pri Grover disease in je bilo povezano z različnimi boleznimi, kot je krvni rak. Težko ga je izslediti in zdraviti, ker se ponavadi pojavi in izgine sam. Ker je Grover disease pogosto povezan z drugimi dermatološkimi in nedermatološkimi kožnimi obolenji, je bistveno izključiti druge sočasne motnje, vključno s hematopoetskimi malignostmi.

To poročilo obravnava redek primer Grover's disease pri 80-letnem belem moškem, ki je imel zadnje tri do štiri mesece izpuščaj na prsih. V preteklosti je imel visok krvni tlak, visok holesterol, artritis kolena, kronični refluks kisline, hiter srčni utrip, predhodni rak prostate in sindrom nemirnih nog. Sprva je imel srbeč, rdeč, neravni izpuščaj predvsem na zgornjem delu telesa. Kljub uporabi različnih krem in losjonov se njegovi simptomi niso bistveno izboljšali. Po obisku pri dermatologu in biopsiji kože je bila diagnoza Grover's disease potrjena. Nato se je dva tedna zdravil s steroidno kremo.
This case report details a rare case of Grover's disease in an 80-year-old Caucasian male complaining of a rash across his chest over the last three to four months. The patient has a past medical history of essential hypertension, hyperlipidemia, osteoarthritis of the knee, chronic gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), supraventricular tachycardia, status post prostate cancer, and restless legs syndrome. During his initial evaluation, he was found to have a pruritic, erythematous, papular rash most notably along his upper trunk and chest. The patient utilized multiple lotions, emollients, and anti-itch creams with minimal relief of his symptoms and presentation. Following a referral to Dermatology, a biopsy of the rash was conducted, which revealed intraepidermal acantholysis, the hallmark finding for a diagnosis of Grover's disease. Subsequently, he was treated with a topical triamcinolone acetonide 0.1% cream for 14 days.
